Classic Everest Base Camp Trek is a comparatively less trekking strenuous and challenging route to the Everest region. This trek leads you up to the base camp of the tallest mountain Everest in the world which was used by the Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay Sherpa for their Everest Expedition  lead from the British Expedition in1993. The trek starting with a breathtaking flight from Kathmandu to Lukla is the most common trekking in Nepal to the homeland of the Khumbu region. However, the journey from Jiri to Everest Base Camp Trek needs physically fit and training before set the trekking trip and strongly by the physical and mental health of psychological factors. You must be ready to face which may get unforeseen incidents at the mountain region.

Itinerary


Day 01- Landed at Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu, and transfer to Hotel. 

Our airport representative will welcome you at the airport and transfer to the hotel by private vehicle. After the check-in hotel, our staff will explain your trip program upon arrival, overnight stay at the hotel. 

 

Day 02 – Kathmandu Valley sightseeing and trek preparation 

Our tour guide will lead around the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu Valley like Pashupatinath Temple, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Bouddhanath Stupa and Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple) then back to the hotel and prepare for the next day trip, overnight stay at the hotel, breakfast included. 
 

 

Day 03 – Kathmandu to Jiri (2,370m/7,774ft), Duration: 8 hours 
This day in the morning we drive to Jiri our long journey to Everest Base Camp through the Nepalese typical villages. Jiri is also known as the SWITZERLAND OF NEPAL is the big town and a hill station by the natural beauty in the surroundings, overnight stay at the guest house. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner included
 

 

Day 04 – Jiri to Bhandar (1520m/4985ft), Duration: 8 hours 

The adventure journey will start after the delicious breakfast lead us to the beautiful countryside panorama from each side and us passing through the rich villager’s farmlands. We will ascend and descend till reach to the small village at Bhandar. You will enjoy the natural beauty of the mountains and the typical villages, overnight stay at the tea house. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner included
 

 

Day 05 – Bhandar to Sete (2500/8200ft), 7 hours 
In this day trail down to the Likhu Khola and crosses the river at 1580m, then the way leads to Kenja. It is the time long pass to Lamjura with a long climb. It is quite steep for the first climbing then it traverses to the Sete and the Gompa at 2575m in the side. After that, we steadily walk through the trail inhabited of Sherpa’s and have both Sherpa and Nepali names of them, overnight stay at the tea house. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner included 

 

Day 06 – Sete to Junbesi (2675m/8774ft), Duration: 7 hours 

Today we need to do a gradual climb up to the Lamjura La pass at 3530m. The reward for your trekking journey with rhododendron flowers in the spring and snow frost along the trail. Goyem at 3300m, the highest pass between Jiri to Namche Bazaar will eat the delicious lunch. And, you will descend to Tragdobuk at 2860m from the top then process to the beautiful Sherpa village to Junbesi at 2675m, overnight stay at the tea house. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner included 

 

Day 07 – Junbesi to Nunthala (2345m/76916ft), Duration: 7 hours 

This is the day to climb the ridge at 3080m from where the glimpse of Everest gradually appears in your eyesight than the Salung at 2650m. Junbesi trail goes through the hospital, airport of Phaplu, and the Salleri Bazaar (district headquarter of Solukhumbu). After leaving Salung our way set down to Ringmo Khola at 2650m. While we make our short climb from Ringmo Khola that takes to the Takshindo Pass at 3031m then the track descends to the Nunthala monastery at Nunthala at 2320m, overnight stay at the tea house. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner included 
 

 

Day 08 – Nunthala to Khari Khola (2194m/7196ft), Duration: 6 hours 

After breakfast our journey descending to the Dudh Koshi River then the trail up to terrace fields, typical Sherpa villages and wild woodlands to Khari Kholal, overnight stay at the tea house. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner included 
 

 

Day 09 – Khari Khola – Paiyun (2890m/9479ft) Duration: 6 hours 
Today we start our trekking with a climb uphill towards Paiyun passing by Sherpa countryside and jungle home of monkeys and passing through a tapering canyon just before to reach Paiyun, overnight stay at the tea house. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner included

 

Day 10 – Paiyun – Phakding (2652m/8699ft), Duration: 6 hours 

The trail continues to ascend to a ridge at 2800 meters from Painyu, just before a gradual ascent to the ultimate ridge then trek up to Surke trail towards Phakding, overnight stay at the tea house. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner included 

 

Day 11 – Trek to Namche Bazaar (3440m/11283ft), Duration: 6 hours 

After breakfast we trek along the bank of the Dudh Koshi River encompasses by the Himalayan alpine forests, rhododendron woodlands, and cedar plants to the ultimate destination to the Namche Bazaar. The Namche Bazaar is the historical village famous for trading center between Tibetan people and the local Sherpa people exchanged salt, textiles, and dried meats. Apart from that, Namche Bazaar still important for trading for the local merchants, local people come to by their household necessities things for their livelihood of the Khumbu region. This is the best place for acclimatization day where you will stay one more for the acclimatization for your higher elevation trek. After reach at Namche Bazaar spend time going around the market and if needs any trekking gear can buy because all types of equipment are available in Namche Bazaar for trekking and climbing. On this day we will see a glimpse of the Everest panorama, overnight stay at the tea house. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner included 

 

Day 12 – Hike to Everest View Hotel and Return 

This day is separated for acclimatization as you will hike up to Everest View Hotel. After breakfast, we will hike to Syangboche airport probably the highest airstrip in the world then continue to walk towards Everest View Hotel for the exceptional scenery of Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Khngtega, etc. While descending to Namche Bazaar you can visit the Everest photo gallery and Sherpa mountain museum, overnight stay at the tea house. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner included 

Day 13 – Trek to Tengboche (3860m/12660ft), Duration: 5 6 hours 

Today our journey is heading towards Tengboche following by the easy trails to Kyangjuma then descends to the Phungi Tengga inside the alpine forests and rhododendron woodlands. After taking short rest there then the trail following uphill to the Tengboche. Tengboche is the spiritual hub of the Khumbu region as the biggest Tengboche monastery is situated. The uphill climb is a little difficult but you will be awarded by the awesome views of Everest and Ama Dablam as well as beautiful mountains in the surroundings, overnight stay at the tea house. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner included 

 

Day 14 – Tengboche to Dingboche (4410m/14464ft), Duration 5 hours 

Leaving Tengboche and descend through the rhododendron woodlands and cross the suspension bridge over Imja Khola and Trek to Dingboche via Pangboche (3900m). It will be an interesting day for you as you will get the smooth walking and altitude to get to slide up not like other days much ups and down and feel the walking lap of the Everest mountain series. Finally, your journey leads to the Dingboche also known as “SUMMER VALLEY”, an overnight stay at the tea house. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner included. 

Day 15 – Hike to Nagarjun Hill (5100m/16728ft) and return Dingboche by 6 hours walking 

It is your second acclimatization day and you have almost finished your 70 percent trekking to Everest Base Camp. After breakfast, you will hike uphill towards Nagarjun Hill (5100m) best vantage point to see the Ama Dablam, Lhotse, Island peak, Thamserku, Khangtega, Lobuche East, Lobuche west, and Tawache peak even you can see the nice view of Makalu. After your short spending time at the cliff then descend to Dingboche and eat lunch then take rest or go around the villages, temperatures will get down, and need to prepare your warm down jacket to heat your body, overnight stay at the tea house. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner included

 

Day 16 – Dingboche to Lobuche (4910m/16105ft), Duration: 5 hours 

Take your way up to grassy dry land and reach to Thukla. Then continue to steep up to Thukla pass for two hours and walking through the rocky trails leads you in The Lobuche, overnight stay at the tea house. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner included

 

Day 17 – Trek to Everest Base Camp (5364m/17594ft) via Gorakshep (5181m/16994ft), Duration: 8 hours 

After breakfast trek to Everest Base Camp and return to Gorakshep for an overnight stay. After a short climb in the verdant look at the Khumbu glacier in the right and straight ahead is the best vantage point Kalapthar will let you the view of the south face of Everest, Pumori, Nuptse, Lintren, and other numerous peaks. After a couple of hours, we will reach to Gorakshep and check in the tea house and eat our lunch then process towards the Everest Base Camp. The way somewhere looser rock and the elevation is not to gain more but you are in a higher place and long walking may make you tired but the trip will exciting. Approximately 3 hours around you will reach the base camp. After spending some time in the base camp you will back to Gorakshep and overnight stay there. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner included 

 

Day 18 – Hike to Kalapthar (5545m/18188ft) – Pheriche (4210m/13809m, Duration: 7 hours 

Early in the morning wake up and hike up to Klapthar in the strenuous trail the best viewpoint to witness Mount Everest, Pumori, and all glory of Mahalangur Himal. After some time staying at the cliff we descend to Gorakshep and trek down to Pheriche, overnight stay at the tea house. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner included 

Day 19 – Pheriche to Namche Bazaar, Duration: 7 hours 

Leaving the Pheriche with the convenient way the Imja Khola and a short climb up to Tengboche then descend to Phunggi Tengga. The trail again uphill to Kyanjuma and easy trail to Namche Bazaar, overnight stay at the tea house. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner included 

 

Day 20 - Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2800m/9184ft), Duration; 7 hours 

The trek continues to descend along the Dudh Koshi River to the small Sherpa town Lukla where you will take a 25 minutes flight to Kathmandu, overnight stay at the guesthouse. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner included

 

Day 21 – Flight take back to Kathmandu 
 

25 minutes breathtaking flight takes back to Kathmandu and overnight stay at the hotel, breakfast included.

 

Day 22 – Departure Day 

Approximately 3 hours before our representative will do farewell you and transfer to Tribuwan International Airport and fly back to your home.
